Ali’iolani Elementary School receives the Morning Mile

PHIT America GO! Grant awards another school with Physical Activity.

Through sponsorship from ASICS, KIDS in the GAME has awarded a GO! Grant to Ali’iolani Elementary School in Honolulu, Hawaii. Due to lack of funding and diminished budget for physical education,  Ali’iolani Elementary School has been unable to provide students with daily physical education and activity. ASICS has come through again and granted funding to PHIT America GO! Grants which in turn has matched Ali’iolani with a daily before school walking/running program for the kids to achieve physical activity. Ali’iolani Elementary is now able to offer it’s students the Morning Mile, and the kids and community are loving the results!

Listen to Principal Passantino talk about the positive impact Morning Mile has had on the school, students, teachers, and families at Ali’ionlani Elementary.
