ACTIVEx Pass Program Supports Youth World Participants in Dallas!

Since moving their headquarters to Dallas in 2014, ACTIVE Network employees have banded together to raise funds to support youth in their new home city. Each year, through their employee-led ACTIVEx Charity Challenge, ACTIVE employees sign up to participate in the U.S. Open Triathlon in Rockwell and individually “fundrace” to support youth throughout their community. The funds raised have built the ACTIVEx Pass Program, which financially supports underserved youth with their registration fees for sports and activities programs of their choosing.

This year, 31 boys and girls had the opportunity to sign up for Youth World’s six week summer camp thanks to the ACTIVEx Pass Program’s support. Youth World Dallas Learning Center is a non-profit youth organization that impacts children in need by inspiring hope for their future and relieving economic burdens. It is their goal to help meet critical community needs for “at-risk” children. Youth World is a free resource for the Dallas community to find economic relief, community support, supplemental education resources, music/arts programs, mentoring, athletic clinics, summer camps and more!

Every summer, 25 camp staff and over 500 volunteers gather from all over the country to help kids in South Dallas find their place in this world! Youth World’s six week summer camp will feed over 10,000 lunches to hungry kids this summer! Each day over 400 kids ages 4-12 come to Youth World for engaging activities, reading & learning opportunities, small groups, Bible lessons, and professional sports clinics, creating one of the best summers of their life! Jr. High & High School students from our community have the opportunity to be teen interns, gaining intensive servant leadership experience, experiencing state of the art athletic training, and growing spiritually.
