Jack Pinto Bowl

Jack was a sweet, loving and active six-year old boy who enjoyed playing all kinds of sports, but most of all loved having fun and being with other kids.

Jack Pinto lost his life in the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy on December 14, 2012. His parents, Tricia and Dean Pinto, are determined to not have his death be what defines him. They have chosen KIDS in the GAME to help them honor Jack by getting underprivileged kids across the country into sports.

The initial activation was the Jack Pinto Bowl, a football game amongst kids Jack’s age at his passing that honored and celebrated Jack and all kids’ passion to play sports across America.

KIDS in the GAME has a deep partnership with Falcon Youth Football in Los Angeles. An organization with the goal of using sports as a vehicle to introduce and reinforce the concept of strong character, positive values, personal responsibility, social responsibility and academic excellence.

This annual championship event was named “The Jack Pinto Bowl”, and was held in Los Angeles on November 30, 2013.  It featured the top teams of kids aged 6-7 from four different leagues.

During the game, a moment of silence was called out to “celebrate the child, protect the child and remember all children who were taken from us before their time.”
